You can delete your Petshub account at any time, from inside the app.

How to delete your account

  1. Open Petshub and sign in.
  2. On the Home screen, tap your profile photo (top left).
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account, under Log out.
  4. Choose when to delete:
    • Delete in 30 days. Your account is hidden straight away. If you sign in again within 30 days, you can restore it.
    • Delete now. Everything is deleted straight away. This can't be undone.
  5. Type DELETE to confirm.

Can't use the app?

Email privacy@petshub.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm it's you and delete your account within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, posts, reels, stories and comments
  • Your Lost & Found reports, walks and Paw Points
  • Pets that only you look after, with their health records
  • Your likes, follows, and the reviews you have written
  • Photos, videos and files you uploaded with any of the above
  • Your saved location and push notification settings

What happens to shared things

  • Pets you share with co-parents go to a co-parent, so they keep the pet's profile.
  • Communities you own go to their longest-standing member.
  • Messages you sent stay in the chats they were sent to, shown as "Deleted user", so the other people's conversations still make sense.
  • Pet-sitting payment records are kept without your name, because we're required to keep payment records for tax purposes.

When we can't delete straight away

To protect the other person in a pet-sitting job, you can't delete your account while:

  • a pet-sitting job you're part of is booked or in progress;
  • a pet-sitting payment is still being processed; or
  • a pet-sitting dispute you're part of is still open.

Once the job is finished or cancelled, the payment has been paid out or refunded, or the dispute is resolved, you can delete your account as normal.
